Hot-wire Adhesive Release |
|
Hot-wire adhesive release is designed for use in conjunction with thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives (THMAD). A thin wire/metallic strip is embedded inside a hotmelt (thermoplastic) adhesive joining, and is connected to a standard electrical jack. As electrical current runs through the wire, the resistance of the wire builds up concentrated heat, melting the thermoplastic joining and instigating the release of the components. |
