Polymer coated material joining allows dissimiliar materuals to be joined together (including thermoplastics, cermaics and metals) and provides many advantages:
It provides strong, even joints between components, thereby reducing localised stress and improving the performance of products;
Joining can be carefully controlled and restricted to small areas;
It is much faster when compared with traditional adhesive-based joining methods, and is reversible;
The elimination of adhesives reduces the risk of contamination during the recycling process.
